We provide our employees with a work environment where quality of life and continuous training are key elements that promote team spirit and company loyalty.

TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Always conscious of the need to keep up to date with changing Customs requirements, we participate in a number of Customs initiatives. And it is in that spirit that in 2003, we enrolled in C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) and FAST (Free and Secure Trade) and became accredited for both programs in July 2004. We are also PIP (Partners in Protection) accredited since February 2005 and ACE accredited since July 2006. These actions on our part attest to our ongoing commitment to ensuring the security of our supply chain and our compliance with Customs practices. Our drivers have also been initiated to the FAST (Free and Secure Trade) program and today most of them participate in the program.

We are keeping up to date with new laws and regulations and we do everything we can to make sure that our staff is well informed.

SGT’s commitment and involvement in the Community reflects the fundamental values of our company president, Mr. Denis Coderre, who believes that we can help improve the quality of life of our citizens by contributing to a variety of social and ecological projects and associations.

TO THE ENVIRONMENT

SGT has received mentions from the “Agence québécoise pour la maitrise de l’énergie” and from the “Canadian office of energy efficiency” for its innovative fleet control measures that are fuel efficient and environmentally friendly.

We have also adopted a program of retreading tires that can safely help triple the life of tires and reduce the amount of waste released in the environment.

And for the last few years, SGT has been working towards a paperless environment. We now work mostly with document imaging and digital faxes in/out and encourage our staff to use email over paper correspondence. Small step towards protecting our planet.
